Inculcating a sense of culture and unity is the essence of any Indian festival and Navratri is a portrait of colour, action, music and togetherness. As nine days of non-stop fun, dance and festivities was around the corner, Happy Home Public School celebrated Dandiya Night on 18th October 2023 with the help of perfect traditional attires, the dolled-up look and dancing skills. Preparations for the same had started almost a week ago, starting with invitations ultimately ending with the night that saw a riot of colours and an eclectic mix of music which made the revellers remember the joyous celebrations.
Students along with teachers assembled in the school ground teeming with anticipation and excitement, draped in breathtaking traditional attire. At 6:00 pm, the programme commenced by invoking the blessings of almighty Maa Durga through Pooja and Aarti. The lights were dimmed to ensure a thrilling atmosphere where everyone danced to the rhythmic Dandiya beats! All the students, teachers along with our Manager Mrs. Laxmi Sharma, Principal Mrs. Anita Hans and Vice-Principal Mrs. Charu Sharma present there, joined in the celebration, tapping to the spectacular music. A strong bond was visualized between teachers and students. It was huge family tapping their toes with the rejoicing music. The DJ made sure that everyone glued to the floor all through the evening with Traditional dandiya music along with some peppy Bollywood dandiya numbers. The spree of the event gave these children a new enthusiasm to move ahead in life. The delightful sight of energetic light-footed young boys and girls swirling in graceful rhythmic garba and enthusiastically playing Dandiya evoked admiration among all present to Goddess Durga. The event culminated with free style dance and mouth watering Navratri feast which was relished by everyone present there.
